S.S.  Receives IPF Funding!
Green Space Initiative
In December of 2020, Sustainable Spartans Green Space Initiative Team applied for $16,000 in funding for the green wall and was granted that amount in full. With this funding secured, the Green Space Initiative Team is now in the process of designing and selecting

Pollinator Garden
In December of 2020, Members of Sustainable Spartans pollinator garden group applied for funding for the pollinator garden and were awarded $5,000 by IPF! The pollinator garden team is currently in the process of selecting the location and composition of the flowers for the garden. S.S. Receives Ford Motor Company Fund Grant!

In 2019, Sustainable Spartans was awarded with a $25,000 grant from the Ford Motor Company to fund a sustainability project aimed towards lighting bus stops across campus using solar energy.  Former S.S. president Alexa Marsh along with several other S.S. members applied for the global grant contest that funded a total of 10 student-led sustainability projects. The organization was able to install 12 solar powered lights that helped to increase safety for students waiting at bus stops as well as help CATA bus drivers to see students waiting at stops. The Student Sustainability Leadership Council (SSLC)

Sustainable Spartans is part of the Student Sustainability Leadership Council. The SSLC is comprised of student representatives from various sustainability groups throughout MSU's campus. This council is used to promote and advance sustainability at MSU by having students share sustainability concerns and solutions.
